The Vineyard

On  July 20th, 1789, following the French Revolution, the Drouais winegrowers set fire to the Maison des Aides (house of the royal tax collector).

In 1802, the 250 hectares of the Drouais vineyard were cultivated by 575 winegrowers.

In homage to these winegrowers of the past, on May 1st, 1989, the association planted 900 Chardonnay Auxerrois vines on the Bâtes plateau, grafted onto an American rootstock resistant to phylloxera.

At the beginning of October, Flora Gallica produces, depending on the vagaries of the weather, a few hundred bottles of a dry and fruity white wine with aromas of lime.
